The registration of the people of India is a very important
task. Government of India gives a lot of importance to its nationals. In an
effort to regulate and keep updated status of its people, UIDAI was setup by
the Government. As a result, UIDAI established Aadhar Enrollment Centre all
over the India to issue 12 digit unique identification number called Aadhar.
There are two ways to apply for an Aadhar card. One is
online where you have to enter UIDAI portal and enter your information. You
will be given schedule to visit the Aadhar Centre to complete the process. On
the other hand, you can directly visit any Aadhar Centre and may undergo
through a process to apply for an Aadhar card. Apparently, this seems to be
very easy task and hardly taken much time. Normally, applicant get their card
within 60 days maximum time period. However, it may goes up to 90 days.
But there are circumstances in which we have seen people
unable to get their Aadhar Card for a period of even a year. Delay in Aadhar
Number Generation create severe difficulty for the people and as a result, they
end up with no hope. Apparently, no one can tell you whether you will face
delay in Aadhar number generation or not. Each case is different from others. We
have seen all the members in the family received their Aadhar number with 30
days while only one person could not obtain Aadhar due to several visits to the
Aadhar Enrollment Centre.
Reasons
for Delay in Aadhar Number Generation
There are multiple reasons for delay in Aadhar Number
Generation. Some of the common reasons are as follows:
a. Biometric Similarity - There are cases where your
Biometric details face problems while scanning. This causes your biometric
details matched with some other person in the UIDAI database. This is the most
common problem and often people complaint about this as the main reason for
delay.
You can sort out this problem by calling 1947 number and
raise a ticket with the call Centre agent. You can follow up your case
afterwards by using the reference/ ticket number.
Apart from this, delay in Aadhar Number Generation could be
due to mistake by Operation Officer/ Supervisor or Enrollment Agency. If they
do mistakes in data entry or do mistake in taking bio metric, you will face problems
in the generation of eaadhar. Often staff at enrollment Centre take details of
one person and take barometric of another person. So delay in Aadhar Number Generation is quite
obvious.
The 3rd most common error is due to gender inconsistency in
the database. More interesting case has been seen when a child photo was
uploaded in the UIDAI system while age mentioned was just 03 years. Possibility
of this error might be due to mistake of data entry operation. So, these are
the common causes of delay in Aadhar Number Generation that needs to be taken
care to avoid any delay.
